The Liberal Ticket

By Tammy Derouin

There’s new hope for some much needed change.  Many Democratic candidates have been distancing themselves from the disasters of the Obama administration.  When asked if they voted for Obama or his policies, you begin to wonder when you landed in the theater.  The lights seem to dim as the first act begins.  A long winded monologue by the candidate attempts to explain the situation without actually telling you anything.  The second scene moves a little quicker as slippery sidetracking causes the candidate to stumble over props.  As the scene unfolds you begin to realize the props are liabilities; created by the candidate for following the party line.

The theater never disappoints.   The art of comedy and tragedy are both painful and amusing to watch.  The first show was such a big hit others in the party have attempted their own versions.  The Liberal Ticket has now begun to provide impromptu shows, at the drop of a question.  I wonder how long the show will run before the final curtain call.

I’ve been encouraged by the recent surge of changing attitudes towards the Democratic Party.  People are beginning to see the party has let them down.  Jason Riley of The Wall Street Journal has criticized Obama for making “overt racial appeals.”  He elaborated, “The voter ID stuff they’ve been talking about constantly as if there’s some sort of Republican conspiracy out there to deny blacks the franchise.  It’s just not true.  Black voters turnout in 2012 was higher than white voter turnout in 2012.”

Perhaps the most moving and thought provoking sentiments come from Louisiana Senator Elbert Guillory.  He has posted a video explaining why he left the Democratic Party and became a Republican.  He gives powerful examples of how the president and liberal policies have hurt more Americans than they have helped.  Why the GOP hasn’t jumped on the very same evidence is beyond me.

These are just a couple individuals who have come forward to say that Obama and his liberal policies have hurt the American people. Voters are being used to further their agenda.  The Democratic Party has been promising the moon but delivering star dust.  Yeah, if you follow the dust trail it will lead you to the moon, but the star dust won’t get you there.  It requires that which the government did not give and did not build.  It requires what has made us exceptional: freedom and self-reliance.

Liberals are tenacious in their efforts to convince the American people that if they are given just one more chance or just a little more time, they will make enough star dust to deliver you to your destination.  It’s impossible.  Liberal politicians make promises they know they can’t deliver.  Their mission is to keep people distracted by promising to provide everything needed for your journey, as well as everything you may need upon your arrival.  Liberal voters are providing the liberal politicians with everything they need for their journey and their destination.

The liberal agenda oppresses the very people who put them in office.  All you need to do is look at the numbers.  As those pesky little facts begin to grab the attention of the voters, they ramp up their attacks to paint their target audience as victims.  Anyone who stands in their way by opposing their message becomes a target.  They will use any tool available to crush their opposition.  When they get really desperate, they use school yard bully tactics.  Name calling is a quick and powerful weapon.  It can be very affective if you are not prepared for the attack.

Name calling alone has reduced our country to levels I never thought possible.  Look what has happened to us based on these two choice words alone; racist and Islamaphobe.  We have allowed ourselves to accept things we wouldn’t otherwise accept because we didn’t want to be called names.  When someone defends their beliefs, the left uses it against them.  To defend one’s beliefs somehow becomes an admission of guilt.

The left has used labeling to their advantage.  The race card is tossed on every table at every opportunity.  A new deck of cards is about to be launched.  Every joker in each edition is different.  The new joker, sexism, is about to take center stage.  As Hillary Clinton rises as the Democratic hopeful, sexism will be a weapon of choice.  Do you have your shields up?

“You see, at the heart of liberalism is the idea that only a great and powerful big government can be the benefactor of social justice for all Americans.  But the left is only concerned with one thing – control.  And they disguise this control as charity.”
